The business objective of Assentia was to provide small to medium businesses with a software package that will enable companies to manage their website and telephony service through the one web interface, dealing with one company, utilising Tier 1 communications infrastructure.
Having experienced the frustrations of dealing with the major telecommunication companies and promises not delivered, and the high costs associated, a better solution was needed for us in-house and in-turn to be able to offer this to others.
The advanced solution developed by Assentia includes web hosting, a content management system to enable companies to manage website content in-house with ecommerce, a shopping cart with multiple payment gateways built in to sell products online.
Along with these essentials for small to medium business, a VoIP telephone communications solution with advanced PABX features has been developed. The PABX enables the routing of telephone calls to multiple locations, along with voice mail features and call diversion and more all managed through the one client management interface along with the website (one login to manage all), unique to the global marketplace.
The VoIP solution enables telephone numbers to be ported to the Assentia software so that current telephone numbers can be maintained. Once ported, this number can be diverted to any number of landlines and mobile phone communications which in many cases is not available at the moment due to (sub-station) restrictions.
This VoIP portion allows businesses to view telephone usage and to track costs as they occur, enabling greater cost control. It also eliminates landline costs currently charged by traditional communications companies.
This bundled software package enables Assentia to market a product that is the equivalent of “The complete small business communications business in a Box” all for one competitive price.
